Super Tuesday

God i hate politics ! Democrat or Republican , if you're stupid enough to buy what they're selling , then you get what you deserve . The same promises that candidates make today were the same ones made over 20 years ago . Yet the majority of you out there continue to vote according to party lines , if for no other reason than that was the way your parents voted . To me that kind of cheapens the power of the vote . Take a good hard look at the candidates . Aside from a couple of points neither side is really any different . Neither side is willing to enforce the immigration laws that are already on the books ( it's a shame when corporations and not gov. determine policy . ) , nor are they willing to cut taxes ( it's hard to cut taxes when you live in a country of entitlements . ) , nor are they willing to balance the budget ( see entitlements ) . Yet you continue to vote the way your parents did , or because that's the way your union wants you to vote . In recent years I've heard people talking of a need for a third party . That sounds great , and despite what some people know America has more than just a two party system . There are smaller political entities in this country , they just don't have the financial backing to compete with the Democrats and Republicans . I'm just afraid that if a third party could rise to the fore that eventually it be just as corrupt . I think the best way to effect change in government is for you the American voter to demand more from your elected leaders , and to hold them responsible . I think people forget the fact that the politicians work for you , not the other way around .
