Batman: The Dark Knight

The good news; Heath Ledgers' performance as Joker was everything I'd hope it would be. Granted his portrayal of Joker was different than Jack Nicholson's', but that was what made it so great, he made the character his own. A psychopathic murderer. The bad news; Heath Ledgers' untimely death notwithstanding, this Batman movie was as predictable as all the others so far. Without Heath Ledgers' participation, this Batman movie would have bombed like the last one. Since the first film in 1988, Hollywood has made almost a dozen of these films and it's becoming a tired theme, like Star Trek you can only do so much. Again, if it wasn't for Mr. Ledgers' performance then this would be one of those films that I'd rather wait for a DVD release.

I love him. He is the first gay Batman. See the movie. He is our gay Batman brother. I love him. Embrace him. He is so bloody handsome. Please, America, please see the new Batman movie, Dark Knight. Please.
