Monkey meat

Mamie Manneh of Liberia, who now resides in New York City, has found herself in trouble, charged with smuggling monkey meat into the United States, thru her smoked fish import business. In two thousand six federal inspectors at JFK found what appeared to be the arm and head of a primate in a shipment from Guinea, which was marked as smoked fish meat. U.S. Fish and wildlife agents then intervened and found out this was in fact monkey meat. The major concern is consuming “bush meat” as the defendant called it, has a direct link to Ebola, SARS, HIV, and monkey pox. Well the rest of the story writes itself. Mrs. Manneh mother of nine claims this is her religious right. Of course, she is fighting this in court. How does this type of behavior enrich our western culture? If this woman wants to practice this so-called “religion”, she needs to go back to her own land and stop endangering us with her unusual eating habits. I do not think our founding fathers had this in mind while drafting the constitution.
